Kristian Kropp, founder of bigFM and managing director of the RPR group, died after a short, serious illness. He was only 55 years old.
Hannover – "With dismay and great sadness we announce that our longtime managing director Kristian Kropp died after a long and serious illness at the age of only 55." This statement is on the pages of the radio stations RPR1 and bigFM, both transmitters of the RPR Group whose managing director was Kropp.
In 2000 he co-founded the youth broadcaster bigFM in Stuttgart and made him big. Since 2009, he has also headed the RPR Group. Before bigFM, Kropp worked for Radio Regenbogen and Antenne Niedersachsen in Hannover.

"His passion for radio, his boundless enthusiasm and his constant optimism will be lacking," says bigFM and RPR1 statement. "Our thoughts are with him and his family, Kristian, we'll miss you."
Already in March, the RPR1 family had to cope with a death. At the age of just 48, the popular presenter Torsten Eikmeier died completely unexpectedly. The cause of death was not disclosed.
