The Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, within the framework of JaverianaX, its virtual education project, which aims to provide free high-quality training courses on different topics, presents the list of courses that will be available from August 22 to December 14 2022.
“JaverianaX seeks that education be for all audiences, recognizes that we learn in different ways and at different times, for this reason, we offer free access courses that can be self-managed or with teacher support, managing to dissipate spatial, economic and educational barriers, by taking advantage of all the opportunities that virtuality allows”, said César Tulio Ossa, director of Continuing Education and leader of this program.
Courses (Mooc) open in the second semester of 2022:
Fundamentals of Blockchain Technology (cryptocurrencies): This course covers in detail what is Bitcoin and the blockchain cryptocurrency exchange, its main applications and the remains to achieve its adoption.
Personal Finance: It will allow users to be financially organized and to develop a clear vision of what they want, how and where, to strengthen strategies and techniques that are associated with their life project.
Communicate harmlessly for reconciliation and mental health: The topics that will be covered in this course will include knowledge of medicine and communication to promote communication practices that contribute to reconciliation and peacebuilding.
Agile project management: Within the framework of a digital age, this course will provide tools and knowledge for agile decision-making for the development of organizations anticipating possible crises. Upon completion, students should have appropriated concepts such as evolution and adaptation of digital transformation and innovation projects.
Photoshop, a tool for innovative presentations: The course will allow learning about the Adobe Photoshop program, which will teach about image editing, aesthetic fundamentals, composition and formats in photography.
The art of selling, introduction to sales: Skills in sales, negotiation techniques and establishing the processes to manage the purchase by consumers will be developed. The objective will be to learn to convert the characteristics of the products or services into differential and beneficial ones.
Strategy applied to business: Participants will be able to learn about planning and execution of strategies for decision making. Management knowledge such as types of crisis and post-crisis learning will be discussed, and they will study how to establish indicators and metrics to determine priorities.
Lastly, the Javeriana University also thought of include children in these free courses so I design Arduino for kids. In which they will be able to learn through games basic concepts of electricity, electronics and programming. Also under this program there will be a basic course in English.
Currently the University has 27 free courses with open enrollment and 52 more available for material consultation.
