Discovering the European Lycope of the Lamiaceae family.
This plant does not look like much, yet it is one of the few still in full bloom at the moment. It is found only at the edge of ponds. It compensates for the smallness of the flowers by their number, well packed in a whorl at the axils of the two opposite leaves and clearly toothed. Looking closely you can see the inside of the petals with red dots.
