In the accident that occurred yesterday morning in the Northern Marmara Motorway Çiftalan location, 5 people died and 25 people were injured. Traffic teams in the region related to the accident completed the first report. In the examination, it was stated that the bus driver Doğan Duygulu, who died in the accident, was found to be at fault.
In the report, it was noted that the driver, Duygulu, was found guilty according to the 84th article of the Highway Law No. 2918, which regulates the “detection of driver defects in traffic accidents and the situations that are deemed to be essential defects”.

According to the report, the vehicle set off from Karabük changed its driver in Bolu. The second driver also left the bus in Gebze. The accident took place in Eyüpsultan Northern Marmara Highway Çiftalan location. In the report, it was determined that the bus driver Doğan Duygulu made wrong direction change maneuvers and lost control of the steering wheel. In the report, which emphasized that the bus that got off the road proceeded in this way for about 150 meters and then hit the foot of the bridge, it was noted that the driver’s purpose was to go to the elevation next to the bridge pier, but could not control its speed.
