The actor is being charged with illegal possession of weapons and second degree murder, which means that the victim dies after a violent act. That writes Vanity Fair. Video footage from the day in question shows Isaiah exiting a vehicle and opening fire on a parked white Jeep, hitting the victim. Isaiah is said to have fired eleven times.
The fatal shooting happened in broad daylight in Queens, a New York City neighborhood. The actor’s representatives have not commented publicly. It is also unknown what the motive of the shooting is.
“The defendant is charged with firing nearly 11 shots in this brutal afternoon shooting,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said. “Gun violence is all too common in our neighborhoods. We will not allow it to become the norm.”
If convicted, Isaiah faces up to 25 years in prison.
When convicted, Isaiah joins a select group of crooks who Law & Order have cooperated. In 2015, Law & Orderdirector Jace Alexander arrested on suspicion of possession and sharing of child pornography. He was given ten years’ probation.
Michael Jace, who for years mainly played roles as a police officer, was arrested in 2014 for the murder of his wife. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
