Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is predicted to launch in Indonesia next month. This certainty after the company’s social media account uploaded an alleged teaser image Ertiga Hybrid.
So far the company has not detailed how it looks and the technology used. However, according to Suzuki’s boss, President Commissioner of Indomobil Sukses Internasional Soebronto Laras in April 2022, the Ertiga Hybrid will carry a gasoline engine.
“In the past, there was a hybrid and the tendency was not gasoline but diesel,” said Soebronto at the time.
It is very likely that the engine is still the same as that used in the conventional Ertiga, which is coded K15B and has a cubication of 1,462 cc with a power of 104.7 ps and a torque of 138 nm.
Meanwhile, the technology used has been exhibited at the IIMS Hybrid which will take place in April 2022.
Yulius Purwanto, Head of 4W Product Development Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) at that time only conveyed that the technology on display was the Suzuki Smart Hybrid.
This technology was developed by the company to support the latest generation of vehicles that are claimed to be more environmentally friendly.
“The application of Suzuki Smart Hybrid in vehicles can increase fuel consumption efficiency and reduce exhaust emissions. Suzuki Smart Hybrid is also the most affordable electrification system in terms of price,” said Yulius
This technology consists of 3 main components that support the performance of conventional combustion engines, namely ISG (Integrated Starter Generator), lithium battery, regenerative breaking.
ISG is said to be Suzuki’s first technological development in creating fuel-efficient vehicles at affordable prices.
With the use of ISG components and Lithium-Ion Battery, he continued, Suzuki hybrid cars will have advantages such as having an auto-stop feature, smooth and silent restart after the auto-stop is active.
In addition, there is power assistance for lighter acceleration during stop and go, as well as easy regeneration of battery power during vehicle speed reduction.
According to Yulius, this technology will be more beneficial when used in traffic jams.
Based on summary CNNIndonesia.comIn general, this system is similar to that used in the Ertiga Diesel mild hybrid in 2017. However, the Ertiga Hybrid will only be offered for gasoline engines.
On the other hand, the name of the system used also has differences, namely the Ertiga diesel Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) and the latest Hybrid called Suzuki Smart Hybrid.
The latest Ertiga Hybrid is rumored to offer advanced features such as engine auto stop, gear shift indicator (specifically for manual transmission), cruise control, ESP and HCC. Then there are dual SRS Airbags, ABS + ABD, and ISOFIX for passenger safety.
“We develop products according to the needs of today’s society, including the need for environmentally friendly technology that saves fuel and is affordable,” said Yulius.
