According to a press report, the Japanese company Sony will this week reveal the free PlayStation Plus games for the month of July for the PS Plus Essential category.
According to Forbes, there are three levels, the “PS Plus Essential” which is the basic level, which gives you access to online games and a few free games every month in addition to special offers and goodies for various games. This level costs $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year.
The second tier, the PS Plus Extra, gets you all that plus a host of other PS4 and PS5 games similar to the Xbox Game Pass for $14.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
On the third level, PS Plus Premium is all of the above plus exclusive gaming experiences and a classic catalog of PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3 games. You also get cloud streaming. This costs $17.99 per month or $119.99 per year.
There may have been no PS Plus leaks in recent months, but that all changed last weekend, when a trusted leaker posted the three July games, and the list looks legitimate, but since it’s a leak and not an official announcement, you should take it with caution.
Arcadegeddon is a multiplayer shooter that actually released on July 5th, which is the day these PS Plus games air, so that’s definitely fitting. The only weird entry is The Dark Pictures: Man Of Medan which has already been offered free to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
Expectations indicate that the company will announce the games of the month on the fifth of July, when all three games will be available as well, and Sony is expected to officially announce the lineup today, Wednesday, and you have time until next July 4 to grab the new free games lineup.
