IRVINE, California (AP) – Evan Leonard scored 5 out of 7 out of 3 points and finished the race with 18 points and three steals so the UC Irvine won against Montana 60-51 on Saturday night.

Jamar Akoh's tip from Michael Oguine's missed 3-point shot gave the Grizzlies a three-point advantage four minutes from time, before Eyassu Worku responded with a 3-point play that sealed a 15-3 draw from UCI (9-2 ) triggered. Oguine scored the first of two free throws to raise Montana by one, but the Anteaters took two offensive rebounds before Tommy Rutherford's short jump took them 50-49 and 3:01 minutes into the lead.

Montana (5-3) went from the field to 1 for 7 and made only 1 of 4 free throws with two rounds from there.

Oguine led the Grizzlies with 16 points and Sayeed Pridgett scored 13 points.

Montana scored the first 10 points before the Anteaters used a 11-0 run for the first of 15 leadership changes. The Grizzlies, who led the nation in field-goal percentage (.532), hit a season low of 36 percent. It was the game with the lowest score of the season – 21 points less than the previous one.
