The Leonardo Hotels have a new Head of Finance Central Europe in Herbert Wiesinger. Wiesinger has already held several top positions in the finance department of various hotel chains and has extensive experience in finance and accounting.
Before joining Leonardo Hotels Central Europe, he was in Berlin Herbert Wiesinger five years as Area Director of Finance bei Marriott International worked in the Eschborn headquarters, where he was responsible for over 32 business units. He was also for several years as a Managing Director bei Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences responsible for over 26 hotels in Vienna. Wiesinger also has its own consulting company.
He gained international expertise in Knoxville (USA) as Director of Business Process Design bei Marriott Business Services, as Director of Finance at the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche and in San Diego as Senior Assistant Controller at the San Diego Marquis and Coronado Island Resort. According to the company, a highlight of his career is the position of Director of Finance im Marriott Hotel & Millenium Court in Budapest, where Wiesinger 2005 as Financial Controller of the Year was awarded. He started his hotel career in 1994 as a financial controller at the Renaissance Salzburg Hotel in Austria.
Wiesinger attended the School for Tourism and Hotel Industry in Klessheim / Salzburg. He is at the Salzburg Economic Development Institute (WIFI)certified accountant and he has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix, San Diego, USA. Wiesinger has been taking part in an Executive MBA course at the University of Salzburg Business School since last year. Added to this are wFurther awards in finance and recruiting.
