Between May 14 and 20, 2,392 new Sars-CoV-2 infections were detected on average per day, down 35% from the previous week.
Over the same period, 8.1 people died per day on average while they were carrying the virus (-11%), bringing the death toll to 31,710 since the start of the pandemic in Belgium.
Nearly 15,400 tests on average were also carried out daily, for a positivity rate of 17.4%.
