Leveraging AI for personalized myocarditis diagnosis and treatment

A team of researchers led by Professor Christoph Grän of the University of Bern, in collaboration with the University of Tübingen, the Bristol Heart Institute and Harvard Medical School, recently published a new scientific review, in which they evaluated various cardiac MRI parameters in terms of their importance for the diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle).

Based on this comparison, the team particularly aims to focus on studying how artificial intelligence (AI) can help them in a rapid and comprehensive assessment of the many different clinical parameters and image data for better predict myocarditis.
