L’Expression: Continuous news – Education: kick off of the level test exams for distance learners

The end-of-year level tests for the transition to the next level for learners enrolled in distance education (middle and secondary cycles), began on Tuesday, with the participation of nearly 400,000 candidates spread over 1,542 examination centers throughout the national territory. The Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, kicked off these tests from the new middle school (CEM) “Les vergers” (Birkhadem), where he indicated that these tests are a “second chance for our sons and daughters who want to return to the education system through the baccalaureate or through the Brevet d’enseignement Moyen (BEM), and are also aimed at all citizens to improve their level and reach the levels required in the professional life”. Distance education is a “means of training parallel to formal education”, added the minister, stressing that the ministry is working to promote and support distance education. In addition, the director of the National Office for Distance Education and Training (ONEFD), Mohamed Bouaziz, for his part, reported on the development of the “Fanous” application for the benefit of the blind. and the visually impaired, which will facilitate the educational process for this category.
