Actor Liam Neeson returns to the Star Wars universe. During Star Wars Celebration 2022, the animated series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi revealed. In this series, Neeson returns to voice his character Qui-Gon Jinn.
Neeson first played the role in the 1999 film Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, and since Disney+ has been making a lot of Star Wars series, the question was when Neeson would claim a role.
The character will appear in at least two different iterations, an adult version voiced by Neeson and then a younger version of the character voiced by none other than Neeson’s son.
The younger version of the eventual Jedi Master will appear alongside a younger version of Count Dooku.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi
The animated series will debut this fall and will consist of short films set over many years. And there will be plenty of well-known characters from the Star Wars universe on display, from the aforementioned Jedi to Ahsoka Tano, Mace Windu and many more.
Dave Filoni is one of the masterminds behind the series, with his ever expanding array of Star Wars projects. The filmmaker is currently working on Lucasfilm’s live-action Ahsoka series.
