Link Mobility close to half a billion euros in turnover

With a turnover of around 480 million in 2021, LINK Mobility confirms its strong growth momentum

LINK Mobility reports revenue growth of 25% to c. €128 million in the fourth quarter of 2021. Fixed currency organic revenue growth of 16% and in the high range of medium-term growth targets . Gross margin increased by 37% to approximately 36 million euros and margin increased by 2.4 percentage points year-on-year to 27.7%, reflecting a high-margin contribution from the American company Message Broadcast acquired by LINK Mobility in June 2021. Adjusted EBITDA increased by 47% to around 18 million euros, with a margin improvement to 13.6% compared to 11.5% in the fourth quarter of 2020. LINK Mobility reiterates its forward-looking statement forecasting medium-term revenue growth in the 14-17% range.

LINK Mobility continues to experience increased demand for communications platform SaaS (CPaaS) solutions and relentlessly executes its Go-to-Market strategy, which includes the deployment of communication platforms. self-registration (SSU) and further growth of the partner network. The expansion into the United States in June 2021 with Message Broadcast has opened up an important new market for LINK Mobility. Through the acquisition of Italian chatbot company Xenioo, the Group has secured an attractive solution for upselling to existing customers and is seeing particularly high interest from the US utility industry.

Overall Business Messaging revenue grew organically in fixed currency at 67%, which positively impacted total revenue growth rates. For the Enterprise segment, all markets rebounded, to varying degrees depending on country-specific dynamics, from the lockdown-induced restrictions in 2020. Organic revenue growth for the Enterprise segment was however impacted negative from high comparisons during the fourth quarter of 2020, as the lockdowns drove strong volumes from e-commerce and vertical logistics.

Gross margin increased to a record level of around €36 million, with a gross margin of 27.7%, reflecting the contribution of acquired entities. Fixed currency gross margin organic growth was 11%, lower than organic revenue growth due to the higher proportion of Global Messaging at a lower margin. The Enterprise segment’s organic gross margin improved by 0.1 percentage points in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the same period a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA grew strongly by 47% to a record high of around €18 million, and Adjusted EBITDA margin improved by 2 percentage points to 13.6% in year-on-year. Adjusted organic EBITDA increased by 15% in fixed currency.

LINK Mobility was awarded by analyst Juniper Research in February 2022 as “Best RCS Provider” (Platinum Winner). The Group currently works with several global brands that use RCS for promotional and transactional messaging, with already more than twenty major retailers in France.
