| |

The name of the new album will be “Pluss minus”, and the band has released the title song, which was recorded by Latvian hip-hop artist Rays (Raivis Krams). He, like most of the group, is from Liepaja and at one time became known for his patriotic composition “For Latvian Latvia”, the number of views of which on the YouTube channel has reached 1.7 million.

The author of the music and lyrics of the basic version of the song is Ainars Virga, the leader of “Līvu”. The song was recorded in Riga, in the studio of Mārtiņš Burkevics, where most of the upcoming album was made. The rap part of the song “Pluss minus” was recorded in Ivars Sudmalis studio in Liepaja. Mixed by Jānis Šmēdiņš or Fakts, in Jelgava.

The group “Līvi” currently consists of: Ainars Virga (guitar, voice), Jānis Buķelis or Buks (voice), Guntars Mucenieks (keyboard instruments), Henrijs Mucenieks (guitar), Edgars Silacērps (bass), Aleksejs Balinskis or Alex (saxophone) and Ilvars Manfelds (drums).

The next performance of the group “Līvi” is expected already this week, when the 55th anniversary concert of Ainars Virga will take place in Liepāja Concert Hall “Lielais Dzintars”, tickets for which have not been available for a long time. Therefore, the band and Ainars invite everyone to an additional concert, which will take place there, on May 20, and which in a sense is also a presentation concert of the new album, because the new album will be available during the concert and will be a good opportunity for autograph hunters.
