The draw begins …
Mark Chapman, Glenn Johnson and Teddy Sheringham are ready to make the draw. The BBC cameras will then head outside the studio to see uncomfortable images of opposition fans with the colors of their sides shaking hands in the icy cold. Magic of the Cup. Stand …
Probabilities, probabilities, probabilities
Just taking a look at the odds for the FA Cup. It will not surprise to know that Manchester City is the favorite in 5/4 with Betfair. Liverpool is next to 5/1, despite Jurgen Klopp presenting a youth team. Chelsea follows next with Manchester United, Leicester and Tottenham behind them. Arsenal a 12/1 shot.
Northampton at 500/1 …
Not so long now …
For those who are not watching The One Show, they currently take us through how and why potholes are created. I wanted to make fun of the show, but it’s really quite interesting. There is also a Gandalf that looks like black ice. Everything is happening tonight friends!
The initial XI
Well, you will know that we have our last fourth round clash that will take place tonight. Arsenal travels to Bournemouth, which tends to fight in this competition.
Bournemouth XI: Travers, Smith, S Cook, Ake, Simpson, Fraser, L Cook, Gosling, Surman, H Wilson, Solanke.
Subs: Ramsdale, Francis, C Wilson, Billing, Surridge, Dobre, Genesini.
Arsenal XI: Martinez, Bellerin, Mustafi, Sokratis, Saka, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Pepe, Willock, Martinelli, Nketiah.
Subs: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Holding, Torreira, Ceballos, Ozil, Lacazette.
Obviously I am contractually obligated to deliver the FA Cup clichés before the fifth round draw tonight.
The first is to inform you about the numbers of balls tonight, why I have no idea. Presumably so that the draw knows a fraction of a second before the presenter. All of these can be found at the bottom of this page.
The second is the lower rated side, which is another fascination that journalists love to discuss.
Portsmouth, which ranks eighth in League One, is the team with the lowest ranking. However, the Northampton Two League team is still in the draw after winning a replay against Derby.
What’s the plan?
I’m glad you asked.
The fifth round draw will take place tonight (obviously) and will take place exactly at 7.19 pm on The One Show of BBC One.
Now, that is obviously a cunning way of subjecting every sensible person to watching the program.
But I will tune in at the right time to prevent Matt Baker and Alex Jones (not ESE) from discussing the ways in which Feng Shui will transform your life …
