Local elections – Ukraine allowed foreign observers to enter

Due to local elections, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allowed entry to another category of foreigners. In particular, official observers will be able to enter the country.

This is stated in a message on the government portal.

It is reported that today, at an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the list of persons who are allowed to enter the territory of Ukraine during the quarantine period has been supplemented. The borders will be open for official observers from other countries and international organizations during the electoral process and local elections.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers banned the transit of foreigners through Ukraine and changed the rules of entry. In particular, we have expanded the list of relatives of Ukrainian citizens who can enter the country, and as for students, only those who study at Ukrainian universities will be admitted.

Note that Ukraine has closed the entrance for foreigners from August 28 until the end of September. At the same time, an exhaustive list of categories of foreign citizens who can still get into the country was presented.
