THE SOUND OF COMBATING ANIMALS
Experimental post-hardcore supergroup The Sound of Animals Fighting announced their return in December, with shows starting later this month. They start with three Californian dates: The Wiltern in Los Angeles 2/22, the Observatory in Santa Ana 2/23 and the Warfield in San Francisco 2/24. All three dates are related to Planes Mistaken for Stars and Lorelei K. In March the tour will reach NYC's Terminal 5 as well as Denver, Atlanta, Dallas and more. See all dates here.
LOCAL NATIVES / MIDDLE KIDS
Locals have annoyed a follow-up to 2016 Sunlit youthThe prospect of new music became more and more likely as the band announced their North American tour "Spiral Choir" in May and June. They will be accompanied on all dates by Australian indie rockers Middle Kids, including two NYC shows at Brooklyn Steel on June 6th and 7th, as well as other events in Washington DC, Philly, Toronto, Seattle, Chicago, LA, Boston, Montreal , Austin and tons more. Tickets for all dates that go on sale Friday (2/16). As we wait for the official word for new music, at the Audiotree Music Festival 2018 you will hear the unpublished song "If I lose you".

SEAWAY / FREE THROW / HEARTS ATTACK MAN / YOUNG CULTURE
Free Throw, who has just released the lead single of their upcoming Triple Crown album, and who are soon touring with Tiny Moving Parts, are about to launch Seaway. Heart Attack Man and Young Culture are also on the ride, meeting US cities such as Hartford, NYC (Brooklyn Bazaar on 4/23), Poughkeepsie, Rochester, Lancaster, Chicago, Indianapolis, Nashville and Tons of More. DEAD LEAF ECHO
The Brooklyn Shoegazer Dead Leaf Echo have announced a reissue of their debut Pale fire, which was released on March 29 and will be released on vinyl for the first time. The band will support the LP on tour, which starts tonight at Brooklyn Bazaar (with Desert Mountain Tribe, The Mary Vision and Coco Verde) and includes dates like Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento and others. Check all dates here and stream the seven-minute title track from Pale fire, which was mixed down by Ulrich Schnauss.
Chicago-based experimental team Dead Rider announced that this spring there was a short series of dates from the Southeastern United States, with stops in St. Louis, Fayetteville and Louisville, and an appearance at Hot Springs, The Valley of Vapors by AR on 3/15. Here are all these events and below you can stream the latest version of the band from 2018, which collaborates with English noise musician Paul Williams.
LIFE IN THE VACUUM
The last release of Life In Vacuum in Toronto was in 2018 Everything you can finishbut they have already returned with a new single, "Apartment". You may hear it on their upcoming North American tour, which includes NYC (Mercury Lounge on 4/7), Washington DC, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Boston, Montreal. Louisville and more before ending up with a Toronto show in his hometown. All dates are listed here, and you can watch the video of the band for "Apartment" below.

LOST '80S LIVE
There always seems to be a package holiday with stars from the New Wave era, and this year's Lost & # 39; 80s Live! Tour is full of tons of acts known for big hits in the 80s. Like A Flock of Seagulls, Missing Persons, The Tubes, Wang Chung, Bow Wow Wow, The Vapors, Boys Do not Cry, "St. Elmo's Fire singer John Parr, Real Life ("Sent Me a Angel") and more. The data include a Coney Island show at the Ford Amphitheater on August 8, before a couple of events take place on the West Coast in Houston, Grand Prairie, Santa Ynez and Las Vegas. Keyboarder Marco Benevento, who often plays with Joe Russo's Almost Dead, is known for hosting a live killer show, and he will play a few US dates later this year, including a New York show in Jersey City. NJ's White Eagle Hall on 5/3 and other dates in New Orleans, Wilkes-Barre, Ardmore, Greenfield, Bethel and more. Marco will also perform at the Hogs For The Cause music and food festival in New Orleans in March. Here you will find all upcoming dates.
TWIN PEAKS / POST ANIMAL
The two Chicago rockers Twin Peaks and Post Animal (formerly owned by Stranger Things star Joe Keery) will take to the streets together this spring, including stations in Buffalo, Ithaca, Albany, Pittsburgh, Champaign, Madison, Des Moines, Grand Rapids and more cities. Tickets for all shows will be sold on Friday (2/15) at 10 o'clock local time. You will find all dates here.
CHILD CONGO MOVEMENTS AND THE PINK MONKEY BIRDS
Former Gun Club / Cramps / Bad Seeds member Kid Congo Powers, along with his band The Pink Monkey Birds, has some special East Coast shows celebrating Kid Congo's birthday. These shows take place at Washington D.C.'s Comet Ping Pong on 22.03. And at the Brooklyn Bazaar on March 23 in NYC (as part of Jonathan Toubin's monthly Soul Clap & Dance Off). Kid Congo will be touring this fall with Mudhoney, on which another Brooklyn date will be on October 19th at the Market Hotel. All dates can be found here.
The Chicago Noise Metal band Oozing Wound prepares High anxiety, which will be released in March, and they have just announced a North American tour starting May 29 in Indianapolis and touring Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Providence, Boston, Toronto, Montreal and Detroit, not to mention two of Brooklyn's shows (June 1 @ Union Pool and June 2 at The Glove).
