French international Melvine Malard extends three years in Lyon.
French international striker Melvine Malard has extended her contract with Olympique Lyonnais for three years, the French and European champion club announced on Tuesday.
Aged 22, the player, originally from Reunion Island and recruited at the age of 14 by OL, was coming to the end of her contract next June. She is now linked to OL until 2026.
Malard signed her first professional contract in 2017. She returned to Lyon after a season-long loan to Fleury, during the 2019-20 season.
Melvine Malard played 78 professional matches in an OL jersey, in all competitions, scoring 27 goals. His record includes four Champions League, two French championships and a French Cup.
In the France team, she scored six goals in 21 selections. She participated this summer in Euro 2022, where the Blue stopped in the semi-finals, beaten 2-1 by Germany.
