On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at around 9:00 p.m., a 30-year-old German man without a permanent address rioted in a hotel on Bayerstrasse. The employees called the police on 911. Several strips of police inspection 14 (Westend) were sent to the site.
Here they were able to find the 30-year-old, who was extremely aggressive towards the arriving police officers. According to the employees, there was already damage to property.
A corresponding investigation has already been initiated against the 30-year-old on site. The identity should be established as part of the police measures. The 30-year-old put up massive resistance and headbutted a police officer who was deployed, hitting him in the face. The police officer was seriously injured and was unable to work. The injured police officer was taken to a hospital for examination.
With the help of other patrols, the 30-year-old was overpowered and arrested. Since he was also injured by the headbutt, an ambulance was called immediately, which provided medical care for the suspect.
During the entire police action, the suspect verbally insulted and threatened the police officers. He is now being investigated for, among other things, dangerous bodily harm, assault on law enforcement officers, resistance to law enforcement officers, threats and insults.
The 30-year-old was transferred to the detention center of the Munich police headquarters. Here he will be brought before an investigating judge in the course of today to clarify the question of detention.
Commissariat 24 (bodily injury offences) took over the further investigations.
