Mass tourism on Malle is back.

Due to the huge demand, Lufthansa uses gigantic planes on Mallorca flights in the summer: Airbus A350 and Boeing 747-8.

The number of bookings for flights to Palma de Mallorca increased 25-fold between April and the beginning of June 2021, it said Company announced on Friday. In Hesse (from July 17) and Bavaria (from July 31), the two long-haul aircraft will therefore be used during the summer holidays.

▶ ︎ On four consecutive Saturdays, a Boeing 747-8 from Frankfurt and an Airbus A350 from Munich in the direction of Mallorca. As planned, an Airbus A321 would be on its way to the Balearic Island on flights from Bavaria’s capital.

The Boeing 747-8 is currently the largest aircraft in the Lufthansa fleet. There is room for 364 passengers. With 20 percent less kerosene consumption, the Airbus A350 is the most sustainable long-haul aircraft in the airline’s flight plan. A total of 293 seats can be booked.

Discos should open again from mid-July

In keeping with the huge onslaught, the regional government of the Balearic Islands is also planning the Discotheques will reopen from mid-July. As the newspaper “Diario de Mallorca” reports, the party will start again on July 17th.
