President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the approval of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the press service of the Belarusian leader said.
“This was another confirmation of the high trust and support of your activities as citizens of the state,” the congratulation says.
Lukashenko emphasized that the Russians, supporting the amendments, expressed solidarity with the course towards further “strengthening sovereignty and development of Russia” as a social state, preservation of traditional values and historical truth.

According to him, the results of the referendum “convincingly” testify to the recognition of Putin’s merits by the Russians and his ability to consolidate society.
Earlier, the Central Election Commission of Russia processed 100% of the protocols from voting on amendments to the Constitution.
In support of the amendments to the Basic Law, 77.92% of voters spoke out, 21.27% of citizens voted against them.
