MacBook Pro 13 '' without Touch Bar 2017: Apple launches SSD repair program

It's double Whammy tonight for Apple! After the replacement program for the iPhone X, the manufacturer offers a second that this time the SSD player of MacBook Pro 13 inches without Touch Bar. This repair program is for machines with SSDs (128 or 256 GB) that are losing data and experiencing drive failure.

A " limited number SSD drives is affected by this failure; the 13 '' MacBook Pro without Touch Bar concerned were sold between June 2017 and June 2018 (the 2017 model, therefore). Apple offers a free repair of components. The manufacturer provides a tool to know if his computer is eligible for repair. For customers who have registered their machine with Apple, an email will be sent to inform them of the program.

If the Mac can benefit from the program, then macOS will be restored: Apple strongly advises to make a backup of its data, of course. If a MacBook Pro repair has been made for this issue, Apple will offer a refund. Finally, this program covers the machines concerned during the three years following their first acquisition. It does not extend the duration of the limited warranty of the device.
