MacBook Pro with HDMI and memory card reader

The new MacBook Pro should be added to Apple’s offer later this year. We expect 14-inch and 16-inch models, including HDMI ports and memory card readers.

A few years ago, Apple, in the pursuit of simplicity, removed all connectors from its portable computers, except for USB-C and the minijack. For home users, the lack of HDMI or a memory card reader and other less popular connectors was not a big problem, but professionals reprimand this decision to this day. Fortunately, there is hope that soon they won’t have to.

Apple, abandoning Intel, decided to play it safe and placed its new M1 processors in well-known to customers MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac mini housings. Another hardware with an ARM chip, however, went to a completely new 24.5-inch iMac, and soon we expect the first visual refreshment of notebooks in years, which will include the next-generation system.

The first rumors about the new MacBook Pro, which would be found after six years of absence, incl. an HDMI connector and a memory card reader began to circulate around the network earlier this year. If, in turn, you believe Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, who in the past has repeatedly informed about Apple news in advance and is rarely wrong, it will happen this year.

The premiere of new computers from the MacBook Pro line with 14-inch and 16-inch Mini-LED screens should take place between September and November 2021.

Gurman argues that the debut of another 16-inch MacBook Pro and the first 14-inch computer from this line is a matter of a few more months. Many people hoped that Apple would reveal the secret of Mac computers during WWDC 2021, but it did not – probably due to problems with the Mini LED technology known from the new iPads.

The new notebooks are to be released in the third quarter of this year, and in the last one we expect their official presentation – probably a month or two months after the premiere of this year’s iPhones, perhaps on the November anniversary of the Apple M1 chip debut. However, it is not certain whether the devices will go on sale immediately – orders may as well be carried out at the beginning of 2022.
