THE PRESS OF LARA | Agencies.- The Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Friday that, despite US sanctionsThe refineries of the state-owned Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) already produce all the fuel that the nation requires.
According to Maduro, this was possible “thanks to the heroic and persevering effort” of the workers of the state industry. “Already we are producing all the gasoline that Venezuela needs, looking for spare parts all over the world, they are expensive spare parts, they are complex engineering structures, it is not done overnight, but here we go, “he said.
The president reiterated that the current gasoline shortage in the country is the result of sanctions and the US siege. “They stole 3 million barrels from us just a month ago and they call all companies in the world so that no one dares to bring a drop of gasoline to Venezuela, “he denounced.
Along these lines, Maduro repudiated that the Venezuelan opposition wants to seek “a vote” in the suffering that the sanctions have caused the people, alluding to the proselytizing campaign of anti-Chavismo in the face of the parliamentary elections on December 6, which has been focused on attacking the government’s management within PDVSA.
However, the Head of State urged Venezuelans to elect a new National Assembly (AN) and leave behind opposition leaders who supported the sanctions and then left the country. “Where are they? Where is Leopoldo López? In the Salamanca district, the most expensive in Madrid and one of the most expensive in Europe. Now he is the new king of Spain,” he said.
For the Venezuelan president, the parliamentary elections are “historic” and it will be the Venezuelans who will be able to “do justice” with their vote.
