The people in Mainfranken are doing better than average financially. Their gross annual income per capita is above the national average of around 23,700 euros. This is shown by a current study by the Hans Böckler Foundation.

It turns out that the people in the city of Würzburg have the highest gross per capita income in the region at over 33,000 euros a year. This means that the average monthly salary is over 2,700 euros. This is followed by the district of Würzburg – here the average per capita gross household income is over 31,500 euros. In the district of Main-Spessart and in the district of Schweinfurt, people earn around 30,600 euros gross a year. In the district of Kitzingen, the average per capita household income is around 30,500 euros.
