The city of Málaga is the protagonist this week of two TV shows in UK and Germany. The Tourism Area of the City Council is assisting professionals from the BBC and DW (public channels from both countries), to carry out recordings that will have the destination as a star and with Picasso as a common denominator.
On one hand, the bbc british television has landed in Malaga for the filming of a chapter of his program specializing in trips The Travel Show, during the days 20 and 21 of March. The Malaga Town Hall attends to said channel in the city to advise the professional team on locations and places of interest.
The Travel Show is a prestigious weekly travel program broadcast by the BBC, whose current format was launched in 2013, after taking over from a program of the same name that was broadcast between the late eighties and the nineties. The BBC puts together a audience total that exceeds 550 million people around the world every week.
On the other hand, the German public television Deutsche Welle (DW) stops in the capital of the Costa del Sol on March 21 and 22, in a visit organized jointly with the Malaga Film Office and the Tourism Department. During the event, a report will be recorded for the television program Euromaxxwhich deals with lifestyle, culture, society and glamor throughout Europe.
The theme of both shoots will be Pablo Picasso, within the framework of the fiftieth anniversary of his death and the offer that the city hosts this spring on the occasion of the Picasso Celebration 1973-2023. Thus, the cameras will pass through the Museo Picasso Málaga, the Museo Casa Natal de Picasso, the Plaza de Toros and other places related to the life and work of the universal man from Malaga.
