ein Mann has abused a sheep in the Lower Bavarian Velden. The animal had been so badly mistreated Saturday morning that it had to be slaughtered, the police said.
A shepherd caught the man in the early morning in the district of Landshut behind the sheep kneeling. When he noticed the shepherd, he fled and left behind, among other things, an earphone. The police wants to investigate these now for traces. The identity of the man is unknown.
According to the Animal Welfare Act, it is prohibited "to use an animal for its own sexual acts or to train or make available for the sexual acts of third parties and thus to force them to behave in a manner contrary to their behavior".
A violation of the ban can be punished with a fine of up to 25,000 euros.
