Man arrested for Wester Hailes fateful lintel

A man fell out of a window on the fourth floor of Cobbinshaw House South

A man died after falling out of a skyscraper in Edinburgh's Wester Hailes.

The 35-year-old dropped out of a window of an apartment on Cobbinshaw House South in Calder Gardens on the fourth floor on Thursday just after 2:00 pm.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died a short time later.

A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, which was treated by the police as inexplicable.

The officers said their investigation would continue and a report would be sent to the prosecutor's tax office.
