Manchester City will try to maintain its position at the top of the table when they return to action in less than a week.

The Blues welcome Burnley on October 20 in the Etihad and are unbeaten in their first eight games in the Premier League.

Several stars of City are in the international competitive game, and Leroy Sané was not a good night on Saturday night. The German striker played in the 57th minute in the 0-3 defeat against the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League.

The women of City meet today in the Academy Stadium on West Ham. The kick-off takes place at 12.30 pm.

The Blues are in third place in the Women's Super League table, and striker Caroline Weir says no league play is easy.

"I think that no game is a certainty from the previous matches, the teams take points from everyone, so it's exciting for the neutrals and good for the women's game," she told MEN Sport.

We will bring you the latest news and views from the city throughout the day.
