Martha Argerich godmother of the 1st Classical Stars Festival in Saint-Germain-en-Laye

For his 1time edition, the festival Classic Stars saw big. From 1is on July 3 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (78), 14 concerts will bring together nearly 200 artists, young talents and renowned musicians, around the great Argentinian pianist Martha Argerich, the godmother of the event.

60 artists from the Paris Conservatory will take part in the festival

At the initiative of violinist Thomas Lefort and patron Patrick Petit, this 1time festival edition Classic Stars which will take place in Saint-Germain-en-Laye in the Yvelines wishes to bring together for 3 days the best classical musicians of the new generation and renowned artists around Martha Argerich, one of today’s greatest musical personalities and patron of the Festival.

The 14 concerts will take place in three prestigious venues in the city: the Domaine National, which will be able to accommodate 3,000 spectators, the Alexandre Dumas Theater and the Saint-Germain Church. Thanks to this family event, the organizers and the municipality wish to support young professional musicians (including 60 artists from the Paris Conservatory present), to become a major player in the professional integration of young artists and to sponsor young people with disabilities.

The festival will offer a tribute to Ivry Gitlis

Among the scheduled concerts, we note, the 1isJuly, the recital given by the young pianists Nour Ayadi (Laureate of the Cortot Prize) and Isaac Scordino. The next day, the young talents of the Philippe Jaroussky Academy will perform, and will be followed by a concert at the Couleurs des Amériques which will bring together Lucienne Renaudin-Vary (trumpet), Thomas Lefort (violin), Pierre-Yves Hidique (piano) and Adriana Babin (pan flute).

There are also highlights not to be missed on Sunday July 3 at the Domaine National: the tribute to Ivry Gitlis by 10 great soloists including Yves Henry and Martha Argerich. We will find the Argentine pianist in the evening alongside Thomas Lefort, Iryna Kyshliaruk, Cyrielle Ndjiki, Lucienne Renaudin-Vary, Nefeli Mousoura, Akane Sakai, Adriana Babin, Bruno Philippe and Vassili Chmykov for a great symphonic concert.
