Malo want

While waiting for OL and Chelsea to reach an agreement, Malo Gusto has already agreed with the London club. A long-term contract awaits him at Stamford Bridge.

A week before the end of the transfer window, things are starting to move strongly at OL. Especially in the direction of departures. Waiting for the formalization of Jeff’s loan Queen Adelaide arrived Monday evening in Seville for his medical examination, other files continue to feed the column “departures” in the Lyon club. Especially for a player who was not necessarily on the transferable list this winter. It is obviously Malo Gusto and the trend would very clearly be at the end of an adventure with his training club. The right side is a priority for Chelsea in this final stretch and the London club is ready to give itself the means to attract it.

Not yet agree with’OL on the amount of the transfer, the Blues have nevertheless already found common ground with Gusto on the terms of his contract according to Foot Market and Fabrizio Romano. The international Espoir would arrive in the English capital for a very long-term contract (6 and a half years) with an evolutionary salary. Conditions which would therefore have convinced Malo Gusto although the latter was not really in the mood to set sail.

A long-term contract

Only OL, even if they still haven’t reached an agreement with Chelsea, showed himself open to negotiations for a player who will be out of contract in June 2024. In a position where there are few elected officials, the check should be substantial. Nevertheless, the Lyon club is trying to negotiate a loan in stride to end the season with Gusto and not find itself without a solution in a position which is already quite affected by the lack of competition. A solution that would clearly not delight Chelsea or Graham Potter sees Malo Gusto as a competitor to Reece James.

At 19 and after only a full season, the native of Décines could therefore already take the plunge by January 31. Despite a considerable sum in the coffers, this would remain a sporting hard blow for OL even if the performance of Gusto were random since the start of the season. It is also this famous project with players from the center that would take a hit.
