Viola Amherd and Ignazio Cassis on the stage of the Kulturforum? Together with Roger Federer? At least their voices will be heard there this Friday. So not really their voices, but those of the Zug comedian Michael Elsener. In his current program “Fake Me Happy” he also imitates Swiss personalities deceptively real and gives the audience the impression that they are there in person. Elsener also gets input from visitors and thus improvises the truth freshly at each of his appearances.

“Do we like the world the way it is?” Asks Michael Elsener and gives the answer himself. Reality is rarely our first choice, he says. Escape into the illusory world of Instagram, sink into Netflix series and present your fake self to the world on social media. Elsener’s new show is therefore the ideal complement to the daily self-deception of everyone, instead of making oneself unhappy with the truth – or “Fake Me Happy”. The audience, the comedian promises, will see the world for one evening as one would like it to be.

Tickets for the Kulturforum event are available at the box office or at www.eventfrog.ch for between 15 and 35 francs.
