Microsoft Adds Video Stories to Teams

Microsoft Corporation of America revealed the addition of a new video stories feature to the Teams application, in a step to add more liveliness and movement to the popular chat application.

And according to what was published by the morningstar website, the American technology giant decided to launch public previews of the new stories feature in Viva Engage, which is a division of the company’s Teams communications program, which is set to replace the Communities app.

Microsoft enabled some individuals to use this feature in order to talk about customer meetings and their personal lives to experience it.

Microsoft said on Tuesday that Viva Engage aims to help build community and connectivity in the workplace, whether employees are working remotely or in the office, and the company said the app is a social networking tool where leaders can share news, answer questions, and facilitate two-way conversations with employees. .

The new app allows people to create and post video “stories” to their events, similar to the features offered by the social networking apps Facebook and Instagram.

In a blog post, the company said that Viva Engage will be available to all existing Microsoft 365 commercial customers at no additional charge, and users must have a Yammer license to use the app. Microsoft said the Teams communities app will be renamed Viva Engage in late August.
