According to another A report published by MLexMicrosoft executives are exploring ways to shut down Acquisition of Activision Blizzard KingDespite the blockade imposed by the United Kingdom. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has currently issued an order preventing Microsoft from acquiring any stake in Activision Blizzard King, including its subsidiaries.

MLex has learned that Microsoft has retained other lawyers to find possible solutions to close the Activision deal despite the CMA being banned in the UK. One possibility is leave the UK And move to another European country outside the jurisdiction of the Capital Markets Authority. In this scenario, Activision will continue to sell its games through a distributor.

Another possibility that Microsoft is exploring Extension of unilaterally proposed remedies to CMA (and accepted) to the European Commission. However, these treatments are similar to those that were proposed to the CMA but rejected. This approach would require Microsoft to take voluntary actions to address issues specific to the UK market.
