Microsoft releases 512GB version of Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X

Do you want the storage memory of Xbox Series X | S, but if the current 1 TB SSD is too expensive or too large, you will soon be able to opt for a 512 GB variant. Windows Central is in possession of photos of promotional materials for several US retailers, which is usually a good indication that the official presentation will take place very soon. The promotional material consists of empty packs of the 512 GB version of Seagate’s Storage Expansion Card with the text ‘coming soon’.

Last month, French media also reported that Microsoft would soon introduce a 500 GB version. The Expansion Card will be released on November 14 for €154.99, according to French retailer Micromania. Playing Xbox Series X | S-games is only possible with the Seagate plug-in card or internal storage. Older Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles can be played on an external USB drive, as these titles do not require fast read and write speeds.

This is especially problematic for Xbox Series S owners, as the console only has a little over 350GB of storage space due to the operating system. The console may be considerably cheaper than Xbox Series X, but the 1TB Storage Card has a price tag of no less than €219.
