Standard keyboards for Windows-based computers did not receive any significant changes for a long time. It is possible that in the near future, Microsoft will bring something new to the usual device. According to network sources, Microsoft developers are considering adding a special key to interact with the Office application.
This approach will allow developers to integrate new keyboard shortcuts to perform various actions, including the implementation of fast file sharing. Most likely, the Office button will replace the Windows key on the right side of the keyboard.
Currently, Microsoft is conducting a survey among testers dedicated Office keys and collects user feedback on what features should have innovation. To participate in the survey, you must have a working or training Microsoft account. Among other things, the questions relate to shortcuts, as well as the possible appearance of a separate Office button in laptops. Probably, the testing of the new concept is carried out on Windows 10 with the May service pack installed.
It should be said that the Windows key has been used by the corporation for 25 years, since the Microsoft Natural keyboard appeared in 1994. Many third-party keyboards that use a 104/105 keyboard layout also include a pair of Windows buttons in their products, since otherwise Microsoft will not certify the device for use with Windows.
