“Excluding the rise in common wheat prices, i.e. taking into account the other costs (electricity, diesel/fuel, packaging, ingredients, etc.), our flour production costs have increased by around €20/t, for the better offs said Simon Artagnan, grain purchasing manager for the Girardeau flour mill, during the Océan Center Ouest soft wheat forum organized by Arvalis on May 17 in La Rochelle. The latter specifies that for the smallest mills and/or the least equipped, consuming more energy, this increase in costs is even more significant.
