According to him, the results of the vote confirmed society’s support for the country’s proposed course towards the development of the country, which, in turn, poses new challenges for the government to implement the directions of this development.

Voting on amendments to the Constitution of the country was held from June 25 to July 1. After processing 100% of the protocols, it became known that the overall turnout was 67.97%, 77.92% of Russians supported the amendments, 21.27% opposed them.

Spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin is pleased with the results of the vote and consider them a triumph and an indicator of confidence in the head of state.
