According to several sources, the MMA insurance company was the victim of a massive computer attack on the night of Thursday July 16 to Friday July 17, 2020. This Monday July 20, it always blocks the insurer’s services throughout the France.

The Saturday July 18, 2020, on its Facebook page, the company confirmed “A computer incident” which had an impact on “all of [ses] management services ”without giving further details.

MMA do not hide that it is an event of large scale :

Website unavailable, agencies closed
The mma.fr website is still “under maintenance”. The customer area is notably unavailable.
According to the press, which quotes several testimonies, the SORRY headquartered in Chauray near Niort (Deux-Sèvres) was also affected. This is another entity of the Covéa group to which belong the MMA.

Lack of access to the servers of the company based in Mans (Sarthe), several MMA agencies have simply closed as evidenced by a message posted by an agent of Château-Gontier (Mayenne) :

The message published by MMA on Facebook is reassuring but does not specify the timeframe for the intervention and the return to normal:
