President Shuntaro Furukawa spoke briefly about Nintendo's mobile business during the recent financial results meeting. He mentioned how the total sales had been expanded and reconfirmed Dr. Mario World and Mario Kart Tour Both were released this summer and talked about how the Japanese company's mobile apps would continue to appeal to users:
"We continue to implement events and updates and add more ways to keep customers happy as we work to optimize the application for each application." "Total mobile revenue has increased compared to the previous fiscal year. We will be both Dr Mario World and Mario Kart Tour this summer, which means we will be using a total of six applications worldwide this summer. "
The president of Nintendo further explained this, explaining how each of the six mobile applications was based on different IPs, and "the objectives and features of the applications" also differed. The general goal is to make Nintendo's IP available to as many people as possible:
"In the future, we will use the ubiquity of mobile devices to extend the number of people who have access to Nintendo IP through multiple applications like these."
