The fusion of the electro duo Modeselektor, consisting of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, and Apparat, Sascha Ring’s solo project, is moderate. The three of these perfectionist sound freaks are on stage in the almost sold-out Offenbach Stadthalle. A neo power plant? In any case, the Modeselektor duo stays on their synthesizers, Ring occasionally switches from his battery of electronics to the guitar and the microphone and pushes his high-pitched voice through the room, over the rhythm and melody structures that oscillate between breakbeats, techno, dub and downbeat.
