Liverpool star Mohamed Salah joked his former colleague Dejan Lovren on Instagram, as the Egyptian winger asked his Croatian colleague “not to be jealous” of him.
The duo had a reputation as Liverpool’s best teammates at Lovren’s time at the club before his departure in 2020 and joining Zenit St Petersburg for a fee of around £10m, and his move to Eastern Europe did not dampen his friendship with Mohamed Salah despite the long distance.
On his Instagram story, Lovren posted a picture of the two comparing the body – with Lovren claiming that Salah told him not to be jealous, Lovren said: “He called me immediately after my comment and said don’t be jealous.”
He added, “I’m not, okay a bit! I took off my shirt and showed 100 percent what photoshop doesn’t look like.”

The British newspaper, “Express”, indicated that the image shows Lovren in the corner of the screen wearing his shirt, telling Salah that his torso has not been modified at all.
Salah signed a new contract with Liverpool until 2025 last Friday after months of uncertainty over his future.
But Al-Masry believes he is focused on what’s next as he continues his impressive legacy with Liverpool. “I feel relieved and excited to win titles with the club, it’s a happy day for everyone,” he said.
