Monaco: Jardim thinks “it’s not a serious injury” for Sidibé

The right side in the France team and in Monaco, Djibril Sidibé, went out on a stretcher, injured his right knee , in the defeat against PSG Sunday in Ligue 1 (7-1) to two months of the World Cup in Russia (June 14-July 15). “We’re going to wait, I do not think it’s a serious injury, he’s going to do the exams with the doctors,” responded Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim after the defeat of his team, which offers PSG the title of champion of France.

Canal + was more alarmist for Sidibé by evoking a “big pain”, a “crunch” and a “sprain” to the knee to confirm within 48 hours. He visibly injured himself by taking a foot on the lawn of the Parc des Princes and left the field on a stretcher in the 34th minute, replaced by Rachid Ghezzal.

Debuchy is rising

This injury could be a big blow for the team of France who has very few players in this position. Djibril Sidibé, 25, has 15 caps with the Blues. His lining with the Blues is the young defender of Stuttgart Benjamin Pavard (22 years), convened by Didier Deschamps at the last two rallies.

In recent weeks, Mathieu Debuchy, who has not played with the French team since September 2015, is also talked about thanks to his good performance with Saint-Etienne. Coach Didier Deschamps is scheduled to announce on May 15th the list of 23 Blues selected to compete in the World Cup in Russia (14 June-15 July).
