Montauban: the Ingres Bourdelle museum prepares the reopening

Although the museums have been closed for several months, the Ingres Bourdelle Museum (MIB) is already anticipating its reopening, which is currently scheduled for June 18. The summer exhibition organized in collaboration with the Louvre Museum will be dedicated to Ferdinand Philippe d’Orléans. Son of Louis-Philippe I, the one nicknamed “the ideal prince” was heir to the French throne from 1830 to 1842.

No less than 200 works, from public and private collections, will allow us to retrace the life of the Duke of Orleans.

A true artistic patron, it is now engravings, drawings and sculptures that will draw a portrait of this prince forgotten throughout history.
