More than 300 children and adolescents participate in the National Anthem Interpretation Contest

  • The winners were the Francisco García Salinas primary school, from Jerez; and the José Vasconcelos secondary school in Guadalupe
  • The students were recognized for the effort, dedication and discipline they put in to reach the state stage

Zacatecas, Zac., May 24, 2022.- The lyrical song “Mexicans to the war cry, the steel prepares and the bridon, and the earth trembles in its centers, to the sonorous roar of the cannon” was interpreted by the voices of girls, boys and adolescents from different primary and secondary schools of the state, in the 37th Mexican National Anthem Interpretation Contest, which was held this Tuesday in the city of Zacatecas.

Aware of the need to deepen the teaching of history and the meaning of national symbols, values ​​that the new governance takes up as a distinctive sign of our cultural identity, educational authorities celebrated this event in which more than 300 basic education students participated from different educational regions of the entity.

On behalf of the Secretary of Education, Maribel Villalpando Haro, the Coordinator of Regional Directorates, José Alfredo Sánchez Mendoza, recognized children and adolescents, as well as their teachers for the effort, dedication and discipline to have overcome the stages of school, school zone and regional contest to reach the state stage.

After the deliberation of the judges, the winners were the choirs of the Francisco García Salinas primary school, in the municipality of Jerez; and from the José Vasconcelos secondary school in Guadalupe.

The qualifying jury was made up of connoisseurs of choral singing and national symbols, who qualified aspects such as nuance, diction, text, rhythm, intonation, sound quality and coupling.

The participating primary schools were: Niños Héroes of the federal region 01; Lázaro Cárdenas from federal region 04; Francisco I. Madero from federal region 07; Francisco García Salinas from the federal region 08; Miguel Hidalgo of the federal 09; Emiliano Zapata from federal region 10 and La Corregidora from federal region 11.

As well as the Juan Pablo García secondary schools of the federal region 01; José María Morelos from federal region 08; José Vasconcelos from federal region 10 and Francisco González Bocanegra from federal region 11.

Also present at the event were María de las Nieves Hernández Ramírez, Academic Undersecretary; and Yolanda Páez López, Undersecretary of Basic Education.
