Mortada Mansour returns to the presidency of Zamalek: “We are not coming to halve accounts.”

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – After his official return to the presidency of the Egyptian club Zamalek, Mortada Mansour pledged, on Tuesday, to “not settle scores” and to “work hard for the future.”

On Monday, the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports issued a decision to return the Zamalek Club’s board of directors headed by Mansour to manage the club, in implementation of the ruling of the Administrative Court of the State Council, accepting Mortada Mansour’s appeal and stopping the decision to stop him and exclude his council.

Mansour said, in a video clip, on the occasion of the first meeting of his council: “We moved in November 2020, and our Lord brought me back in November 2021, this is the wisdom of our Lord, be and it will be.”

He added: “Our Lord, we do not tolerate injustice, and our council has been wronged. Praise be to God. We praise our Lord. We are not winning the board of directors, but the victory of truth and the great entity of Zamalek Club with its huge fans, and it is the owner of the credit after our Lord.”

Mortada Mansour announced that, on Wednesday, he will hold a press conference to “clarify what has passed and the future.” He said: “We have very hard work in the future and ahead of time.”

Mansour stressed that “our confidence in our Lord, our masses, and the Egyptian state is shaky,” and added: “Have your mind, if it wasn’t for a country headed by a president who respects the law and was raised in a house where the advisor of his older brother, His Excellency Counselor Ahmed El-Sisi, Vice President of the Court of Cassation, I mean, know what the meaning of the judiciary and the law is, And that’s what we see.”

He concluded the video by saying: “One is telling me you can’t talk about politics, my son. I was the president of a political club at the university at the age of 17 and a member of the Defense and National Security Committee in the House of Representatives for 21 years, so I did not talk about politics, how? I talk about politics, art, everything and all people You speak about everything as long as you speak for the benefit of the country.”
