Russia on Saturday accused the Ukrainian army of having “designedly” hit a hospital in the Lugansk region, in the separatist east of Ukraine. The attack “leaved 14 patients and medical personnel dead and 24 injured”, according to Moscow.
The Russian army says in a statement that the attack was carried out on Saturday morning ‘with Himars rocket launchers’ in the town of Novoaidar, in the Lugansk region. Doctors at the hospital had been providing “medical assistance to the civilian population for several months, as well as to the military”, she added.
“An intentional strike against a known civilian medical facility is arguably a serious war crime of the kyiv regime,” the statement added.
