Mother strangles two little children and kills them, then attempts suicide: the alarm given by her husband

Lindsay Clancy, 32, from Plymouth, Massachusetts (USA), strangled two of her young children and nearly killed the third before attempting to commit suicide by jumping out the window. The 32-year-old, who according to authorities was suffering from postpartum depression, is currently hospitalized in police custody.

A story of great difficulties for a young mother left alone to manage the needs of her very young children. Law enforcement they managed to save her life after receiving her husband’s phone callalarmed after seeing the woman throw herself out the window.

Arriving at the scene, the officers found the bodies of the two children in the house and the third seriously injured. The 7-month-old baby who survived the massacre he was in fact rushed to Boston Children’s Hospital where, daily assisted by doctors, he is still fighting for his life.

According to international media reports, the woman suffered from postpartum depression after giving birth to her last child. In fact, she had been on leave for months from her job as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital and took care of young children and their needs full-time. According to the children’s great-grandmother, however, the woman never showed any signs of trouble. “It’s heartbreaking,” she commented, recalling her last meeting with her grandchildren, whom she often visited.

The heartbreaking story shocked the entire community, especially the rescuers who were the first to arrive at the scene of the murder-suicide to provide assistance. The emotion of the police officers was also evident during the press conference held by the Massachusetts State Police on the case.
