TRIBUNNEWS.COM – The 2023 MotoGP schedule is confirmed to have changed after Kazakhstan was confirmed to be included in the Marc Marquez cs racing calendar next season.

This Central Asian country has a race track called the Sokol Circuit, located 60 km from Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty.

The certainty of Dorna Sports holding a race in Kazakhstan for MotoGP 2023 was announced through its official website, Tuesday (27/9/2022).

“The FIM MotoGP World Championship is coming to Kazakhstan 2023 marking the start of a new five-year contract that sees MotoGP,” reads a MotoGP statement.

Like the Mandalika MotoGP in Indonesia, Kazakhstan is pressing a five-year contract to hold the race.

It is not without reason why MotoGP has appointed Kazakhstan as the new series for the 2023 MotoGP calendar.

In addition to providing a new color, Dorna Sports clearly wants to expand the MotoGP market by making Kazakhstan the next field.

Kazakhstan became the 30th country to be lined up to hold a MotoGP racing event since 1949.

“Kazakhstan will also be the 30th country to host a motorcycle Grand Prix since 1949, the perfect landmark to celebrate the ever-growing history of the motorsport World Championship.”

The discourse of holding a race in Kazakhstan has long been sparked. Precisely when the Kymi Ring Circuit International withdrew from the 2022 MotoGP calendar.
